Do Penn State football tickets go for sale to public?
I would like to try and get tickets at Face Value for next years Penn State vs. Notre Dame football game. Does Penn State sell tickets to the general public, and if so when does that usually happen? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
If you have a problem getting tickets from TicketMaster or gopsusports.com check out some PSU Alumni websites, most of the Season Tickets Sold actually go to the alumni not the students. Many of the individual alumni society chapter websites have a ticket exchange where people list tickets for games they can’t attend, these tickets can only be sold at face value. Try googling “PSU alumni ticket exchange” if you aren’t sure of any specifc chapter websites.

Football Tickets – Passes for the Most Popular Sport in America
What’s the big deal with football tickets? Why are so many sports fans willing to pay an arm and a leg to get them? What is it about the sport that makes fans so crazy? If you’re not a sports fan, it might be hard to understand the football fever that grips so many people across the country. But football mania is not something new.
Rugby With A Twist?
The game we know as American football today had its beginnings in the game of rugby. A man called Walter Camp brought about a number of changes to the basic rules, which is why football is so different from rugby today. The game really began to catch on in collegiate circuits and in the early part of the twentieth century a number of fierce rivalries grew. The importance of collegiate football has not diminished today and most Nfl stars have cut their teeth playing college ball.
Though there was a demand for football tickets from the beginning, the game quickly became associated with violence early on. Back in the early days, players had little or no protective gear and often the head was not protected at all. The effects were devastating; with many players suffering severe injuries, it was not uncommon to hear of players dying during a game. As the game picked up more popularity, football underwent a restructuring of sorts as new rules were brought in to make the game safer.
Football Today
Compared to the way the game used to be played, football is very different today. What was initially seen as a violent and rather unorganized sport has grown into the single most popular spectator sport in the country- needless to say, the demand for football tickets has also risen considerably. The National Football League, which was formed in 1920, is now home to 32 professional teams from across the country. It is also the home to One of the most lucrative sporting events in the world- the Super Bowl.
One of the main draws for football tickets in the NFL is the element of surprise. Observers have often noted that this league is one where any team has a fighting chance at the championship. This is why there have been so many brilliant upsets in the NFL, where underdogs and dark horses have stunned dominant teams into defeat. The NFL also has a law which prevents the more wealthy teams from stockpiling all the good players.
Hollywood has had its share of football as well in more ways than one. A number of Great football movies have been made, usually about the struggles of real football teams that have beat the odds and won. A number of football stars have gone on to make their mark as actors as well – OJ Simpson, Bubba Smith, Joe Namath and Carl Weathers to name a few.
Some people have been known to camp out for days in front of the ticket counters, waiting to get game passes for their favorite team. If this doesn’t really appeal to you, you can always get your tickets online. Just get online to an online authorized ticket vendor and order your football tickets from home.
